Last week l looked at trends from New York Fashion Week, fashion us British Asians could wear everyday but now it's the turn of London Fashion Week (LFW.) This is the time to note the pre-season fashion trends for 2016. Yes l like planning ahead and here is your fashion week fix!
Temperley London does it once again with a dazzling collection. The designer brand used embroidered dress topped with long jacket which we normally see on South Asian runways. And longline kimono style jackets with layered geo patterns and scarf with tassel. I love it!
For work you can get away with head-to-toe in pattens. It's loose tailoring for causal wear as Issa shows us at LFW or you can opt for structured jackets and straight trousers for that serious Mulberry power dressing style.
Antonio Berardi paired what seemed to be a contrasted dupatta style waistcoat with piping in the folds to create a tailored affect against the coat. Something l might need to try out myself to jazz up my jackets and coats.
Don't get rid of your oversized coats they will still be in fashion in AW16 as seen in Amanda Wakeley's collection. Just add contrasting polo neck cardigans, churidar style trousers and ankle boots topped with a chunky bag for that off the runway look.
One of my favourites of fashion week has to be J JS Lee's (right) swanky silvery jacket, collar blouse and matching trousers with a chain waist belt. So elegant, slick and sexy!
Paul Costelloe combines on trend pale pink with fine pattern ruffled top. It's perfect for evening wear.
