Community World Service Asia, who are helping local communities in South Asia launched a very special fashion label helping women. A Pakistani fashion brand, Taanka is dedicated to highlighting the arts and crafts of Interior Sindh through an exclusive fashion presentation.
Taanka is a fashion brand dedicated to promoting the art of Sindh and was established to showcase the finest handcrafted amalgamation of contemporary designs with traditional stitches produced by rural artisans. Taanka is targeting resources and markets to maximise earnings through traditional handicraft where the goal is to ensure the generation of sustainable economic livelihoods for rural artisan women.
The event was a fantastic opportunity for people like myself of the people of the fashion industry to see this exquisite collection. And get a glimpse fo the future of fashion, where ethical principles lay at its foundations.
