The kaftan, kurta and patterned trouser suit in the photo encompasses Asian fashion. The Asian fashion styles above were featured on Pakistan and India fashion week a few years ago and now Asian fashion goes to the Middle East - Dubai.
I’m not sure if l would wear these colours but having looked at these dresses in detail they are wonderful Asian suits l would wear them in Summer and definitely on holiday.
Many Pakistani and Indian designers launch their collections in the Middle East, yes before the UK as they see a bigger potential market such as, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY) a well-known award winning Pakistani designer.
They are not wrong as most garments designed and created in South Asian countries are in line with the Middle Eastern religious principles and designs. For instance, the Kaftan is similar to long kurtas designs and nower days it's hard to tell which country the designer originated from.
I wanted to share the garments above as the patterned trousers are on trend, kaftan is a classic must have piece in the wardrobe and long buttoned kurta is perfect from women wanting to look modest and fashionable. In addition l like the way the waist belt and neck detailing gives it that middle-eastern fashion feel. It's hard to pick my favourite! I will have to try the patterned trousers which are on trend in the east and west side of the fashion globe.
I’d say these are ideal Summer 2014 trends for everyone no matter what your background! Especially the British Asians to update there wardrobes this Summer.
