You hear about it, you see it in the magazines and it’s all over social media. It’s every fashion journalists and fashion bloggers dream - it’s London Fashion Week & Weekend. And I picked out the best everyday fashion trends us Asian fashion lovers can wear in the UK this 2015.
London Fashion Week not only brings us the latest trends but it’s great for fashion inspiration.
It brings the finest British fashion designers to the forefront and it arrived last month at the beautiful Somerset House in Central London. It’s an occasion not to be missed for all fashionistas, if you want to know the pre-season exclusive British fashion trends it’s the place to be.
The top 3 London Fashion Week & Weekend trends are as follows;
- Dupatta cape rather than having a dupatta, try a cape attached to the back of your shoulders.
- Long waist coats one of my personal favourites by British and Asian designers such as Paul Smith, Anita Dongre and Amanda Wakeley is the long waist coats. I recreated the look with my very own long waist coat.
- Maxi blouse dresses most of you will love this next trend, the long maxi blouse dress (below, image 3.)
In addition, don’t be afraid to play with different textures, fabrics and colours. Just remember subtlety, simplicity and elegance are key.
London Fashion Week is not just fashion yet l found fashion is more like art! The designers create pieces of art to express themselves, to convey a message to audiences or simply emphasis what can be done with fabric to make women look beautiful.
The UK Asian fashion industry can learn something from London Fashion Week. We could all add a bit of the British fashion into our outfits - l don’t mean wearing high street but use fashion to express who you are as an individual.
