l love the cover look in the latest edition of Asiana Magazine and wanted to create a casual version you could all wear in the winter evenings and days.
We see so many bridal and heavy party wear but its rare to find on trend casual wear. So we decided to create a blog to inspire you and make your own Asiana cover look this winter.
The base of the dress is dark purple velvet. Yes, velvet is in fashion this winter, Indian and Pakistani fashion designers as seen by Gul Ahmed and his velvet jackets. Which we will be focusing on in tomorrows blog.
It may not seem it but velvet is a timeless luxurious fabric - a staple in the winter season. Plus if tailored well it looks great on all ages.
One element of this dress we particularly loved was the neck design. To recreate this you can always buy Indian neck collars or neck embroidery that you can sew on to the neck area.
For a casual piece you can wear different types of chunky necklaces or plain. So you have a outfit for party, casual and evening wear.
If you want more ideas check out our ‘Shopping for Anarkali Suits’ blog.
The secrets when recreating this piece;
2, Neck collar piece
3, Heavy boarder sleeves
Party wear - If you wanted to make a party piece, you would just add more and use more extravagant pieces. Add a scarf with matching thick boarder as the sleeves.
Soon you’ll be looking like the Asiana models too.
