As a British Asian fashion blogger l like to know what's happening on the British high street whilst researching fashion that readers can get a hold of at decent prices.
I’ve always kept a close eye on a few British high street shops and Mango is one of my all time favourites, not everything is revealing and they have some wonderful staple items at reasonable prices.
I remember being 13 - 15 years old and being too young to afford full price Mango garments. I would see the brochures, runway and stores and just admire the glimmering Oxford Street fashion outlet from far.
Most girls dream of Gucci, Chanel or Louis Vuitton but l’ve always been a simple girl and never ran after names but just good looking quality fashion that l can enjoy for years not at ridiculous prices.
At the age of 16 with my first hard worked wage l brought a medium sized black trend coat on sale for £69.99. The funniest thing was l was small not medium but l just wanted a Mango garment and there were non in my size. Crazy l know but it was love at first sight with the trench and l didn’t care because l’d waited so long for that moment to pay and walk away with my first Mango dream purchase. In later years I found Mango was the answer to my needs which most high street shops don’t cater to. I found tailored style jeans, staple fashion and high quality knitwear for £40-£50.
Now at the age of 24 Mango is one l always pop into if l desperately need something and won’t leave if l find a classic piece l love because l know l'll wear for years to come no matter the season. They aren’t just seasonal items but pieces l can wear all year around like the maxi dress, cable knitwear, jeans, coats and blazers. Plus unlike most British high street stores Mango do produce top quality garments so your not just buying the high street fashion quality but better. The only problem l've ever had is buying trousers that were too tight round my thighs and when l sat down and the threading unravelled. Well, l will admit, it’s my own stupidity for not trying it on after purchasing it online.
I'm a fan of Mango as you don’t have to worry about rocking out their clothes and seeing some someone else wearing the same garment as you like many outlets. When you purchase online the garments come all the way from Spain, it can be a pain to return because are scarce to find but if your a passionate shopoholic like me you won't care as like me you would go all the way to London on the weekends to return or exchange for something else l love. It’s the price you pay for fashion not everyone is wearing compared to other British or European high street shops!
If you love Mango as much as me or have fallen in love after reading the blog well Mango will be exclusively showing off their collection on the runway tomorrow. Live from Barcelona we will see Mango’s next season collection. The photos feature in the blog are previous fashion shows and a sneaky peak of what to expect and why l love Mango!
If you don’t get the chance, don’t worry l will be blogging about the collection soon before it even hits the shop and all at affordable prices.
